Day 7: Ways to help raise money for the New Zealand Paralympic team.

Activity 2 Day 7: Ways to help raise money for the New Zealand Paralympic team.

Activity 2: It is very expensive for each of the Paralympic athletes to fly from New Zealand to Rio de Janeiro to compete.  Most athletes have to raise money in order to make the money that they need to go on the big trip. Recently, Harvey Norman announced that they will be helping to raise funds for the New Zealand Paralympic team. What could you do to help raise funds to support our amazing Paralympic athletes? On your blog, list 2 different ways in which you, your family or friends could raise money to
support the athletes.

Two different ways I could do to fundraise for the New Zealand Paralympic team with the help of my friends and family is that we could sell cupcakes outside the house and we could make a lemonade stand for people to come and buy some.

  1. Hi Mikaela!

I think that you have come up with two really good ideas for raising funds for our Paralympic athletes. I was part of a cupcake sale recently and we were able to make quite a bit of money because people generally love cupcakes and want to buy them :)

My son, Aronui, and I actually bake together quite often and his favourite thing to make is cupcakes. He makes the batter while I take care of the icing! Do you like to bake?

Keep up the great work with your blogging!

    Cheers, Rachel :)
