Activity 1
On your blog tell us which of the icons you would most like to visit in your chosen country. Be sure to tell us why you have chosen it!
Answers:
I would mostly like to visit the Niagara Falls in Canada because it is the largest waterfall in the world and it would be amazing to watch the waterfall.
Activity 2
Let’s imagine that you have been asked to host a visitor from another country. They are going to come and stay with you for three days. During that time, you are expected to take them on a tour of New Zealand and show them some our most famous icons. Where would you take them? If it was me, I might take them to Mt Cook in the south island, to the Sky Tower in Auckland and to Chums Beach in the Coromandel. What about you? On your blog, tell us which three famous places in New Zealand you would go with your visitor.
Answers:
1. The Sky Tower
2. Whangapoua in Coromandel
3. Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown down in the South island

  2. Hi Mikaela,

I think that you have chosen to visit some great landmarks both in Canada and in New Zealand. Have you ever had the chance to visit Lake Wakatipu? I have been to the lake once and I thought that it was really beautiful.

Later this year I am traveling down to the south island of New Zealand to bike along the Otago Rail Trail. It's an old railway line that has been converted into a cycle path. It's about 150 km long and four friends and I are going to bike it in 4 days. I am going to start training for the bike ride soon as we will have to go about 38-40 km a day on our bikes. That is pretty far for me! What about you? Do you enjoy biking?

    Bye for now!

    Rachel
